Doc Wiener's (CEO/Managing Partner, DW Enterprises)
Few individuals have had as much impact on Las Vegas nightlife as Doc Wiener, CEO and Managing Partner of DW Enterprises. A tireless businessman with a knack for spotting emerging business trends, Mr. Wiener has left his signature on numerous projects in Las Vegas, where he is seen by many as one of the industry’s top innovators and trendsetters.
In a classic sense, Mr. Wiener is a self-made Las Vegas success story who has parlayed a 20-year career servicing the hospitality industry to becoming one of its most influential proprietors. His current businesses thrive in the industry he once served from the outside as the President and COO of Mission Industries, a $130 million business that provides linen services for an unprecedented 90,000 high-profile hotels rooms in Nevada and Arizona.
During the past decade, Mr. Wiener spread into other, more entrepreneurial endeavors by applying his astute business sense to Las Vegas’ nightlife. During that time, he has financed and developed some of the most sought after and successful nightclub and ultra lounge venues in Las Vegas.
Beginning in 2001, Mr. Wiener was instrumental in the founding of Pure Management Group which has since become one of the nation’s top night club developers. Their first venture together was Coyote Ugly at New York-New York Casino Hotel in Las Vegas. To this day, Coyote Ugly continues to draw steady crowds and grosses more revenue per square foot than any other bar or nightclub in the nation.
Following the success of Coyote Ugly, Mr. Wiener help finance and co-develop the Pure group’s next two night club concepts, Pure at Caesars Palace (2004) and Tangerine at Treasure Island (2005). Since their debut, both have become preeminent night spots in Las Vegas and “the” place to “see and be seen.” On any given day, gossip columns are filled with A-list sightings and swanky celebrity events at these two premier venues.
Never one to rest on past successes, Mr. Wiener has shifted his development focus slightly with the founding of DW Enterprises (2007). His vision is to take Las Vegas nightlife into a new era with new and emerging restaurant and nightclub concepts. Under the DW Enterprises flag, Mr. Wiener is currently developing the legendary Trader Vic’s Restaurant and Bar on the Las Vegas Strip at Planet Hollywood, a Rooftop Nightclub at the Cosmo Beach Club and two restaurants concepts at the new Cosmopolitan Resort & Casino. Additionally, Mr. Wiener is also engaged in numerous other business entities in the Las Vegas Valley.
A Las Vegas native, Mr. Wiener has been an active philanthropist during his career and continues to support numerous charities and community events that help the Las Vegas area. He attributes his work ethic to his father Louis Wiener, a highly-respected attorney in Las Vegas from 1941 to 1996, who was an influential figure in shaping Southern Nevada.
